Founded in 1976 through the vision of Şamil Girgin, GIMAS continues its journey today as a powerful industrial brand extending from Türkiye to global markets under the leadership of Bekir Girgin. Over the years, GIMAS has steadily expanded its engineering capabilities, production strength, and export capacity. Within this journey, the GIMAS Malta investment stands out as one of the company’s most strategic milestones. Launched in 2024, the Malta production facility represents our commitment to faster, closer, and more efficient manufacturing for Europe, taking GIMAS’s global growth vision to a new level.

    Global Strength, Local Manufacturing

    Our production capacity has been further expanded with next-generation machining capabilities. GIMAS’s global presence was reinforced through the establishment of a 10,000 m² production facility in Malta and the opening of a new office in Germany.

    International Expansion

    GIMAS took part in numerous international projects during this period. In 2018, we initiated the production of wind turbine components. We also carried out high-precision manufacturing for the nuclear, thermal, and renewable energy sectors, further strengthening our global presence.

    Expansion in the Cement and Mining Sectors


    GIMAS strategically focused on the cement and mining industries, strengthening its expertise and production capabilities in these key sectors. During this period, the company expanded its operational scope and began actively participating in international projects. By delivering high-quality manufacturing solutions tailored to the specific needs of global clients, GIMAS reinforced its position as a reliable and competitive partner in the international market. This expansion not only increased export activities but also contributed to the company’s long-term growth and global recognition.

    Relocation to Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone

    GIMAS entered the machinery sector, initiating production for industries including autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC), cement, and general construction materials. In 1992, the company relocated to the Izmir Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone and commenced export operations.

    First Manufacturing Workshop

    The first manufacturing workshop, built on a 6,000 m² site in Menemen, became operational. Production of pressure vessels for refineries commenced soon after.
